Ball Mill Liner Handler
The Huate Ball Mill Liner Handler is designed for the safe and efficient replacement of liners in ball mills and semi-autogenous mills. It can also be used for lifting and handling heavy objects in specialized maintenance applications.
Available in 3-DOF and 7-DOF configurations, the machine uses an adjustable-height mechanism to accommodate ball mills with different working heights. The 7-DOF configuration is equipped with a hydraulic rotating liner gripper, allowing the liner to be clamped, lifted, transported and rotated in three dimensions for positioning inside the mill.
The equipment is suitable for applications in mining, metallurgy and building materials, particularly for mechanized mill maintenance and liner replacement operations.

1. Configurations
Huate provides two configurations to meet different mill liner replacement requirements.
The 3-DOF configuration provides functions including:

The 7-DOF configuration adds a hydraulic rotating liner gripper to the 3-DOF design. The gripper can hold the liner and perform three-dimensional angular rotation for more flexible liner positioning.
2. Adjustable Height for Different Ball Mills
The ball mill liner handler features an adjustable-height mechanism that allows the equipment to adapt to different mill working heights.

3. Hydraulic Rotating Liner Gripper
The 7-DOF model is equipped with a hydraulic rotating gripper at the front of the telescopic arm.
During liner replacement, the gripper clamps and lifts the new liner supplied outside the ball mill. The telescopic arm then delivers the liner to the required installation position inside the mill.
4. Telescopic Main Beam and Arm
The telescopic main beam and arm allow the liner handler to enter the ball mill through the feed inlet and provide the required reach for liner replacement operations.
The equipment combines machine travel, beam adjustment, arm extension and liner handling functions into an integrated mill relining system.
5. Mechanized Mill Liner Replacement
The Ball Mill Liner Handler is designed to mechanize liner handling and positioning during mill maintenance.
It is primarily used for liner replacement in ball mills and semi-autogenous mills, helping provide a more efficient approach to heavy liner handling and positioning operations.
Main Components
The Ball Mill Liner Handler consists of several major assemblies, including:

The locomotive assembly includes the frame, movable bracket, wheel assembly, hydraulic oil tank, oil pump motor and electrical control box.
How the Ball Mill Liner Handler Works
Step 1: Positioning the Machine
The machine is driven to the center position of the ball mill feed inlet.
Step 2: Adjusting the Main Beam
The main beam is raised to the appropriate working height. The telescopic arm at the front of the main beam is then extended into the ball mill.
Step 3: Stabilizing the Equipment
Hydraulic support cylinders at the four corners of the machine are activated. Tension bolts are then used to secure the machine to the ground.
Step 4: Clamping and Lifting the Liner
For the 7-DOF configuration, the hydraulic rotating gripper clamps and lifts the new liner supplied from outside the ball mill.
Step 5: Positioning the Liner
The telescopic arm moves the liner to the required installation position. The hydraulic gripper provides three-dimensional rotation for liner positioning.
Step 6: Retracting the Equipment
After the liner replacement operation is completed, the tension bolts are released, the support cylinders are retracted, and the telescopic arm and main beam are withdrawn and lowered. The machine is then driven back to its parking position.

Optional Hydraulic Hammer
A hydraulic hammer for removing liner fixing bolts is available according to customer requirements.
The hydraulic hammer is designed for mechanized ball mill maintenance and liner replacement. It consists mainly of a working body, hydraulic pump station and electrical system.
The actuator is manually controlled by a button. Pressing the button once triggers a single strike, while holding the button enables continuous striking.
The hydraulic system uses a tubular throttle valve to regulate return oil flow and control the striking frequency of the bolt hammer.
