On July 19, Professor Sun Chunbao and Professor Kou Jue, directors of the Mineral Processing Engineering Department of the School of Civil and Resource Engineering, University of Science and Technology Beijing, led more than 20 teachers and students majoring in mineral processing engineering to visit Walter Company for an internship. Professor Sun, teachers and students, visited the Huate Science and Technology Museum, the production center, the Shandong Provincial Key Laboratory of Magnetic Application Equipment and the Scale Testing Center. In the Science and Technology Museum, the lecturer introduced the development history, technological innovation achievements and talent team building of Huate Company in detail for teachers and students.
Entering the production workshop, the students observed the specific processing and manufacturing process of the products on the spot, and learned about the working principle and structure of different magnetic separation equipment such as vertical ring high gradient magnetic separator, electromagnetic slurry magnetic separator, cylindrical magnetic separator and iron separator.
In the laboratory, Director Peng Shaowei introduced the performance characteristics and application scope of crushing, screening, magnetic separation, gravity separation, and flotation equipment to the students in detail, and observed the actual operation process of the equipment at close range, which combined theory and practice. Through a one-day visit and internship, the students have a deeper understanding of Walter, a comprehensive understanding of my country’s current magnetic separation technology and equipment, increased their knowledge, broadened their horizons, and expressed that they will learn what they have learned after returning.
